This baby has to be musical.....

Always a day late and a dollar short, this is one from back in December (2018).  The mother, a music teacher, the father a singer, they met because of music, how could we expect anything but beautiful music from this little one.

Auction bag.......

This bag was for the Chamber of Commerce auction Last November.
This one is bigger than previous ones, 17”x15”x4.5”.

Fidget quilts

My father recently went into a memory unit at a home town nursing home. I’ve looked a little at fidget quilts on Etsy and Pinterest and decided to give it a try.  So far I’ve made three and gave them to the unit were my father is.  I forgot to get a picture of the first, here are the other two.

This, that and Mario!

Just wanted to post a few things I've been working on lately.

First and most important - a Mario Brother's Quilt for the oldest grandson.  Now I just got to figure out what kind to make for second one!

Next up, a bag I made with cotton and cork fabric.   First time working with the cork fabric - so much fun, but so expensive!
And finally, don't know when I'll get around to more of these - but I like this block so much, I can't wait to post it even if nothing is completed - Applique Scrappy Lion:

Baby quilts....

I love making baby quilts.  They are quick, easy, and always well received. And the baby’s name on it is all the better.  Here are two recent ones I made - happens to be they (the babies) are cousins!

Row by Row 2017

I am always so behind ...   I just logged in to catch up on some baby quilts and other things and found the following post I started and never published - and RxR 2018 has started!! (I'm not participating this year, though I will probably stop by Jackman's in St. Louis - they have a beautiful design again this year!)

Now on to that post - as it was when I left off.......

For the third year, I participated in the Row by Row Experience this past summer. The long arm makes all the difference in the world. I completed the quilt in about two weeks of the start date. I took it to Quilts Plus (Indy - 86th Street across from North Central High School) where it hung for a few weeks and I received a 30 fat quarter bundle of beautiful fabric as my prize for being the first to bring  a completed quilt to this shop and an additional smaller fat quarter bundle for having Quilt Plus’s Row in my quilt (second from bottom with the checker boards).

“Coming Home”

I still have a number of projects from 2017 i’ll get around to posting eventually.  But here is number1 of 2018. The pattern is from “Man Sewing”of Missouri Star Quilt co.  (coming-home-quilt-pattern-by-rob-appell)

I just finished it up Saturday! It will hang in my husband’s office after a “tour” to show if off to a few friends and family.
